Maths & academic projects
My maths interests extend in two main directions: abstract algebra and maths education. I am of the firm conviction that the scientific community is really bad at communicating, and this is part of why mathematics has such a bad name. I will probably write a reflective piece on this, but for the time being, I recommend you read Paul Lockhart's A Mathematician's Lament.
Maths education project
Here is my pride and joy: my maths education summer research internship project under Prof. Louise Walker:
- Facilitating Effective Learning in Abstract Algebra (project report + appendix)
Currently, I am also undertaking a module on Mathematics Education, so this is NOT a phase.
Noetherianity over skew polynomial rings
This section is under construction, until I figure out an accessible way to explain what I do every other day for my year 3 undergraduate research project under Dr. Omar Leon Sanchez.
